the master cylinder pushrod spacer or speed control dump valve. The head of the
bushing should be on the side of the push rod, away from the pedal arm. It is
also necessary to position the speed control dump valve to the dash panel and
make sure to secure it with two screws. Move the wiring harness into position,
and then install the shift cable and bracket. After that, connect the manifold
vacuum hose to the brake booster check valve. At this point, you can already engage
the fluid level warning indicator. Then connect the negative battery cable to
make engine start and allow you to see whether the brakes function.
It is true that Jeep brake boosters can really gives you more assurance of strong
and reliable braking. However, that doesn’t assure ultimate safe ride. Thus regular
inspection is still very much necessary. You can check whether your Jeep brake
booster is functioning or not by turning off the vehicle, pressing on the pedal
and restarting your vehicle. If the pedal sinks an inch or more, then the power
assist is operating well.
