Jeep Multi Rib Belt
The Jeep multi rib belt features an end-to-end channel and provides force through
adhesion. Unlike the traditional belts which are of similar width, the Jeep multi
rib belts which boost the contact are those that supply an adjusted or improved
power transfer. Compared with the standard V-belts, the Jeep multi rib belt has
a slim cross segment outline that permits the application with the smaller pulleys.
Through a Jeep multi rib belt, the extended drive width is reduced because of
the increased surface engagement that is present. That causes an increase of horsepower
per inch of belt width when compared to a standard V-belt. In most industrial
applications, uniform belt tension, high speed reliability and minimized sound
level are of high importance. That is why more and more multi rib belts are being
used in these areas.
A Jeep multi rib belt, sometimes called a serpentine belt, is made of a strengthened
high-tensile power cord and synthetic rubber, purposely to connect the engine
to the front-mounted accessories. The Jeep multi rib belt, being one component
of the drive belts provides power to the engine-mounted accessories like the power
steering pump, air conditioning compressor, mechanical cooling fan, and air injection
pump.
As for the multi rib belt and its importance in the engine system, or in the
entire functioning systems, Jeep uses only the brands that produce high quality
multi rib belts that have passed strict standardizations. The two main supplier
of Jeep multi rib belts are the Gates and the Advantex. These two are known in
creating super durable products that perform well in the system and do not corrode
or loose elasticity easily. These two manufacturers produce multi rib belts by
ultra expensive materials so to ensure that the quality in their products lasts.
